Samsung Display Offers Free OLED Testing Platform

Samsung Display today announced the launch of a new platform where its suppliers can test materials for OLED panels for free. The Sync-OLED platform, developed in collaboration with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information Supercomputing Center, allows suppliers to simulate their materials and predict how they will affect the performance of OLED panels.

The new platform is expected to significantly reduce partners' costs. When partners test materials themselves, it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase the software and hire the necessary staff. Building your own supercomputers can cost millions of dollars. Samsung Display will open the platform not only to its existing suppliers, but also to other material companies and research institutes.
