AMD R7 5800X3D ultra-large cache processor is now shipping

According to the whistleblower Greymon5, AMD's first consumer-grade 3D V-Cache processor R7 5800X3D is now shipping and is expected to be available at the end of this month. At CES this year, AMD released the first AMD Ryzen processor with 3D V-Cache technology, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which was officially announced to be available later in the spring of 2022. AMD's official website has announced the parameters of the R7 5800X3D:


The R7 5800X3D still uses the 7nm process, 8 cores and 16 threads, 3.4-4.5GHz, the L3 cache reaches 96MB, and the default power consumption is 105W. For comparison, the R7 5800X without 3D V-Cache has 8 cores and 16 threads, 3.8-4.7GHz, 32MB L3 cache, and the default power consumption is 105W. According to AMD's data, the Ryzen 7 5800X 3D processor with 3D V-Cahce technology is up to 36% higher in gaming performance than the 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X.
