Wingtech: The IGBT series products independently designed and developed have been successfully taped out

Wingtech announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Nexperia B.V. ("Nexperia") will set up a China Research Institute in 2021 to focus on the research and development of new products such as high-voltage power devices and analog ICs. At present, the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor, hereinafter referred to as "IGBT") series products independently designed and developed by the company have been successfully taped out, and major progress has been achieved in stages, and all parameters have met the design requirements.

The announcement shows that IGBT is the core device for power conversion and the main supporting technology for new energy and energy-saving and low-carbon economy. It has the characteristics of fast switching speed and high current carrying density, and has a wide range of application markets, mainly for new energy vehicles, photovoltaic / Wind power generation, smart grid, high-power power supply, industrial control, home appliances and other fields. It has a large market space, high technical barriers, and focuses on the accumulation of engineer experience and brand reputation. It is a high-quality track in semiconductors.

Wingtech said that after the successful IGBT tape-out, it still needs to be verified by customers, and the follow-up mass production plan is uncertain. At present, the company's production and operation are normal, and various businesses are carried out in an orderly manner. The company will continue to perform its information disclosure obligations depending on the progress of related products and projects.
