Apple iOS 16 / iPadOS 16 supports separate management of AirPods wireless headset settings

Apple released iOS 16, iPadOS 16 systems, and has released the first developer preview Beta.

iOS 16 aims to make managing connected AirPods and Beats headphones easier by adding a new section to the Settings app when accessories are connected.

In iOS 15, accessing AirPods settings required opening the Bluetooth interface and tapping the "i" next to the AirPods listing, a hidden and hard-to-find menu for those not particularly familiar with iPhones.

In iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, if you pair a set of AirPods with an iOS device, you can see a new AirPods Settings app directly below your name, making it easier to get to various adjustment options.

You can still access the same settings in the Bluetooth menu and view AirPods information under General > About.

AirPods settings have changed, and on supported models, there is a direct option to set up personalized spatial audio and view AirPods in Find My.
