Apple launches entry-level MacBook Pro

At the WWDC 2022 keynote this morning, Apple announced the launch of a new M2 chip and a new MacBook series, including the MacBook Air with a notch design and the new MacBook Pro.

The old 13-inch MacBook Pro is still on sale, and unlike the Air, there are two GPU versions, this new machine only has the M2 10-core GPU version:

  • 8+512GB 11499 yuan
  • 8GB+1TB 12999 yuan
  • 8GB+2TB 15999 yuan
  • 16+512GB 12999 yuan
  • 16GB+1TB 14499 yuan
  • 16GB+2TB 17499 yuan
  • 24+512GB 14499 yuan
  • 24GB+1TB 15999 yuan
  • 24GB+2TB 18999 yuan

Unlike the MacBook Pro that launched last October, this computer still uses the design of the 2020 MacBook Pro (13-inch), which means this model is only the entry-level model in the current MacBook Pro line, but it also retains Touch Bar, Thunderbolt port and full screen.

Thanks to the M2 chip, this MacBook Pro is 40% faster than the M1 version, it uses up to 24GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD. Apple promises up to 20 hours of battery life.
