Apple macOS 12.5 Developer Preview / Public Beta Beta 4 Released

Apple today pushed the macOS 12.5 developer preview Beta 4 update (build number: 21G5056b) to Mac computer users. This update is 10 days after the last release.

There's no word yet on what new features or changes might be included in macOS Monterey 12.5, and nothing new has been discovered in the first three betas. This update may focus on bug fixes and other small improvements. The update allows just-launched M2 MacBook Pro owners to download the macOS Monterey 12.5 Beta.

macOS Monterey 12.5 could be one of the final updates to macOS Monterey, as Apple is now turning its attention to the developers of macOS 13 Ventura, the next-generation Mac operating system launching this fall.

Apple also recently made Safari 16 available to developers running macOS Monterey and macOS Big Sur, as well as AppleSeed members. Developers can download the browser from the Apple developer site, and AppleSeed members will receive an invitation to download it.
