China's smartphone camera installation will decline by 13.2% in 2022

The monthly data released by CINNO Research shows that in April 2022, the total number of cameras in the domestic smartphone market will be reduced to 65 million, a year-on-year decrease of about 27% and a month-on-month decrease of about 14.5%.

CINNO believes that the current smart phone innovation is not strong and the sales volume is weak. Under the squeeze of the cost of components, the low-end and mid-end models are pursuing high cost performance in terms of camera configuration. Number boost is limited. As a result, CINNO Research predicts that in 2022, the total number of cameras installed in China's smartphone market will be reduced to about 1.1 billion, a year-on-year decline of 13.2% .
