In April, China's smartphone SoC terminal shipments dropped to about 17.6 million units

The market research organization CINNO Research released a report saying that the domestic smartphone SoC market in April terminal shipments fell to about 17.6 million, a year-on-year decrease of about 21.6%, a month-on-month decrease of about 12.1% .

The report pointed out that the concentration of domestic smart phone SoC brands increased in April, and the market share of the top three brands reached about 94.2% , an increase of about 9 percentage points year-on-year and a month-on-month increase of about 1 percentage point.

Among them, MediaTek still maintains the first place in shipments with 7.3 million units, and Qualcomm is still the second , with shipments of about 6.2 million units. However, due to the insufficient performance of the overall Android smartphone market, the shipments of MediaTek and Qualcomm have declined.

In April, while the iPhone 13 series still firmly occupied the top three of the stand-alone list, Apple's SoC terminal shipments remained at around 3 million , and the year-on-year and month-on-month declines were lower than the overall level.

According to CINNO, the top 5 Huawei HiSilicon shrank and remained at a low level of 500,000 units , while UNISOC's shipments were about 400,000 units, down about 12.2% month-on-month . At present, the main models supporting UNISOC are still the Honor Play 20 and Honor Play 5T, which will be launched in the second quarter of 2021.
