Lei Jun warms up the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra


Xiaomi announced last month that it has reached a global imaging strategic cooperation with Leica. The century-old legendary imaging and innovative technology will be integrated to open a new era of mobile imaging together! The first work will be released in July.

The founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group, Lei Jun, is now warming up the upcoming new phone and bringing pictures of the final Xiaomi & Leica image joint conference. Lei Jun quoted Leica's technical director of optical design and image tuning as saying: "We have put all of Leica's more than 100 years of experience in imaging into Xiaomi's new products."

It is reported that this new flagship phone to be released in July is the first flagship phone of Xiaomi and Leica cooperation. On May 23 this year, Xiaomi officially announced that it has reached an imaging strategic cooperation with Leica.

According to previously exposed information, Xiaomi Leica's first joint debugging flagship released in July may be named "Xiaomi 12 Ultra".

As the second half of the year is getting closer, there has been more news about the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra ultra-large cup mobile phone recently.

A suspected Xiaomi 12 Ultra engineering machine appeared before Xianyu, equipped with a Leica Logo and supporting 120X zoom. In addition, the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra mobile phone protective case was exposed, with 7 holes on it, corresponding to various camera sensors, lidars, and flashes.

It was also reported before that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra phone is expected to be released in June or July this year.

It was previously reported that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra will use a 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3200×1440 and LTPO 2.0 technology, with an adaptive adjustment of up to 120Hz refresh rate.

The Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra consumer version will use the TSMC version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 + chip. Its imaging system includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, while the front camera is also 48 million pixels, which is the highest pixel front camera of Xiaomi so far.

The report also said that the Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra may also be equipped with a self-developed Surging C2 ISP to improve image quality.

In addition, the main camera of the Mi 12 Ultra may use the Sony IMX 989 sensor, which may be close to an inch in area.
