Micron: Overweight investment in Taiwan, China, will hire more than 2,000 employees in the next 2-3 years

Micron Chairman Lu Donghui said that EUV equipment will be introduced in the A3 plant in the second half of the year, and a "R&D corridor" will be set up. In the future, it will continue to increase investment in Taiwan, China . Over three years, it is expected to add more than 2,000 employees.

Lu Donghui pointed out that Micron has more than 40,000 employees worldwide, and Taiwan is also the main production base of Micron DRAM. Currently, there are more than 10,000 employees in Taiwan, and more than 2,000 will be hired in the next 2-3 years.

Lu Donghui said that the 1α process has been mass-produced in Taiwan, and the next-generation 1β will introduce the most advanced CMOS technology , and is expected to continue to lead the industry.

In terms of the "R&D corridor", the Taichung A3 plant will introduce EUV equipment to increase production capacity in the second half of the year.

Lu Donghui emphasized that he will be committed to the localization of the supply chain, including machines, materials, etc., in addition to manufacturers in Taiwan, China, but also foreign companies with production bases in Taiwan, China, which can speed up the production and supply cycle.
