Samsung has launched a number of new folding screen phones, belonging to the Galaxy Z series, and the price is not cheap. According to the latest news, Samsung will launch a mid-range folding screen phone for the Galaxy A series , which is expected to be released in 2024-2025.
Twitter whistleblower @chunvn8888 said the plans for the Galaxy A-series foldable phone seem to be at an early stage , and revealed to media Neowin that Roh Tae-moon, head of Samsung’s mobile division, doesn’t know when to start the project, at least when 2024 or later.
However, the whistleblower did not disclose which folding method of the new Galaxy A series machine is. After all, Samsung has Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, which correspond to two horizontal and vertical folding methods, respectively.
According to the data from the consulting agency DSCC, in the first quarter of 2022, foldable smartphone shipments increased by 571% year-on-year to 2.22 million units. Samsung continues to dominate the category with a 74% share.
