The Apple Developer Center opened for the first time

Just one day before WWDC 2022, the new Apple Developer Center has been opened , and developers can visit the first floor.

The Developer Center, located next to Apple's Apple headquarters campus, is described by Apple as "a world-class facility designed for our community to meet, collaborate, and learn from our engineers, designers, and experts." The center includes a dedicated Developer lab area, pods, briefing center, state-of-the-art studio/theater and more.

Hacking with Swift's Paul Hudson visited the Apple Developer Center and shared some photos on Twitter. Notably, he revealed that all conference rooms in the Dev Center are named after macOS versions , such as Panther, Leopard, Tiger, and El Capitan. The studio space with stage and seating is also named Big Sur.

According to Apple's schedule, the Developer Center will remain open until 6 PM PT today, and will begin reopening at 7 AM PT tomorrow. Only developers invited to WWDC 2022 will be able to attend the Open House.

The WWDC 2022 will be held online at 1:00 am Beijing time on June 7, and the conference and other content will be available for free on Apple's website and Apple Developer app. During the opening keynote, Apple is expected to announce its latest software platforms, including iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16, and possibly some hardware releases as well.
