According to Toshiba official news, today, Toshiba Electronic Components and Storage Co., Ltd. announced the launch of the DT02 7200RPM 2TB mechanical hard drive. Officially, the hard drive is designed for computing, gaming and storage applications on desktop and personal computers that focus on performance and reliability.
According to reports, compared to the previous generation, the new DT02 7200RPM 2TB hard drive has better performance and uses Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR, Shingled Magnetic Recording). The DT02 7200RPM 2TB hard drive is equipped with a 6Gbit/s SATA interface and has a capacity of 2TB .
Compared with Toshiba's existing "DT02 series", the new DT02 7200RPM 2TB hard drive has a 19% increase in data transfer speed , up to 210MiB/s, with a 256MB buffer, suitable for computing, gaming and storage on desktop and personal computers application.
At present, Toshiba has not announced the listing information of this hard disk.
