Apple iOS / iPadOS 15.6 RC 2 Candidate Released

Apple today released the second version of the iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 Release Candidate developer beta to iPhone and iPad users, with only a slight internal version number change (19G71), this update is far from The last release was only 3 days apart.

Of course, beta releases are primarily for bug fixes and performance improvements, not new features. Apple is still testing iOS 16, iPadOS 16, tvOS 16, and watchOS 9, so no new features have been provided, and the final versions of iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 are expected to be released to the public next week.

According to Apple's description, this version mainly fixes issues in live sports, device storage settings, Safari, and more.

  • Apple TV now supports restarting live sports and the ability to pause, rewind, or fast-forward
  • Fixed an issue where settings could show device storage as full even though it wasn't
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Braille devices to slow down or stop responding when viewing emails;
  • Fixed an issue in Safari where tabs could return to the previous page.
Apple also recently launched beta versions of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13 Ventura, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16.
