Apple M2 MacBook Air review lifted

With the launch of the Apple M2 MacBook Air, its evaluation has also been lifted. The following points are excerpted from the evaluation information of foreign media The Verge.

  • Keyboard: Adequate travel and comfortable spacing.
  • Trackpad: Slightly wider compared to the old model, otherwise not much difference.
  • Speakers: Move from both sides of the C surface to the vicinity of the hinge to make the body tidier. Composed of two tweeters and two woofers to support Apple's spatial audio technology, the new speakers are slightly fuller than the old ones.
  • Logo: The logo on the A side is about 30% larger than before, and the MacBook Air logo on the B panel is gone.
  • Screen: 13.6-inch Liu Haiping, Apple claims 500 nits brightness, measured 434 nits, better than the previous generation's nominal 400 nits; covering 100% of sRGB, 84% of Adobe RGB, and 95% of the P3 color gamut. 1080p camera on top.
  • SSD: The base model uses a 256GB single flash memory chip design, which is slower than the MacBook Pro M2.
  • CPU benchmarks: The CPU is basically the same as the M2 chip on the MacBook Pro 13, but not as good as the MacBook Pro 13 in sustained output. Compared with the previous generation M1, there is a slight improvement in the CPU, and the GPU is greatly improved.
  • Battery Test: The M2 Air performed exactly the same as the M1 model, with 8 to 10 hours of battery life.
