Apple's school/back to school season will start in China on July 14

Some time ago, it was reported that Apple will start the back-to-school season next week, and now "What's Worth Buying" reveals that this year's summer back-to-school season will be from July 14 to October. It's on the 3rd, and this year you'll get AirPods 2 earphones with educational deals.

It is said that this year will be the last time that the back-to-school education discount promotion will give away AirPods 2 as a benefit, and next year will fully enter the era of gift cards.

Of course, at present, Apple is giving gift cards in North America and Europe, while in some Asian countries/regions such as Singapore, India, and Thailand, it is still giving AirPods (second generation) wireless headphones, and you can upgrade to AirPods (third generation) or AirPods Pro with extra money. 

Apple officially launched the 2021 back-to-school season on July 16 last year. Consumers can buy eligible Macs or iPads with educational discounts, receive AirPods headphones as a gift, and also support 20% off additional purchases AppleCare+ service plan.

Who is eligible for Apple Education discounts?

Students in colleges and universities in mainland China, newly admitted college freshmen, parents of college students who purchased on behalf of their children, teachers and staff of kindergarten/primary/middle school and colleges and universities, graduate students, doctoral students, Chinese students studying in overseas colleges and universities.

It should be noted that the relevant activities can only be purchased in the Apple Online Education Store in mainland China.

Referring to the details of overseas activities, this year iPad2021, iPad mini 6, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro will not participate in the activities, that is, purchase iPad Air 5, iPad Pro 11-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch, MacBook Air (including M1, M2), MacBook Pro 13/14/16-inch, iMac 24-inch can be gifted. It is said that users can choose to add 400 yuan to upgrade to the third generation of AirPods or add 1,000 yuan to upgrade to send AirPods Pro, of course, they can not.
