The article said that radiation is divided into ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation. Among them, the high energy of ionizing radiation can ionize matter, thereby destroying the atomic and molecular structure of biological tissue cells. For example, sun exposure, X-ray irradiation, tumor radiotherapy, etc. Non-ionizing radiation has low energy and cannot ionize matter atoms and molecules, among which 5G base stations and Wi-Fi belong to this category.

In addition, the emission frequencies of 5G base stations are in line with national standards, and their radiation does not exceed 40 microwatts/square centimeter. For reference, a hair dryer emits about 100 microwatts/cm 2 and a wireless router radiates about 60 microwatts/cm 2 within 1 meter.

At the same time, the main emission direction of the electromagnetic waves of the communication base station is the horizontal direction. When the two base stations are far apart, in order to ensure the signal stability, the base station will increase the transmission power, and the corresponding radiation will be enhanced. When the number of base stations increases, the interval between the two base stations will decrease, and the transmit power will also decrease accordingly. In this way, the more base stations there are, the less radiation is generated.

The number of 5G base stations in my country is increasing. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as of the end of May, 1.7 million 5G base stations had been built and opened nationwide, covering all prefecture-level cities, counties, urban areas and 92% of townships and towns across the country, with more than 12 5G base stations per 10,000 people.
