Huawei Qingpu R&D Center is expected to be delivered by the end of 2023

The 2022 Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone Developer Conference and the First Demonstration Zone Full Link Conference were officially held in Jiashan. According to the conference, the Qingpu R&D center project invested and constructed by Huawei is expected to be delivered as a whole around the end of 2023.

As a key project of the Shanghai Municipal Government, Huawei's Shanghai Qingpu R&D Center project plans to build Huawei's largest innovation base in the world, promote the digital transformation of Shanghai's city, and build a "new space" that is livable on land and water.

Huawei invested nearly 16 billion yuan to build the Qingpu R&D center project. The R&D center project is located in Jinze Town, Qingpu District. It covers an area of ​​about 1.6 million square meters and has a construction area of ​​about 2 million square meters. It is the Xicen Science and Technology Innovation Center in the Yangtze River Delta Demonstration Zone. After completion, it will become a major landmark project in the new highland of the innovation economy in the demonstration zone.

On September 27, 2020, the Shanghai Municipal Government and Huawei signed a framework agreement on deepening strategic cooperation, and the groundbreaking ceremony of the Huawei Qingpu R&D Center project was held. According to the framework agreement, the two parties will adhere to the principle of "pragmatic and efficient, win-win cooperation", and strengthen technology research and development and demonstration applications in the fields of integrated circuits, software and information services, Internet of Things, Internet of Vehicles, Industrial Internet, and smart city demonstration applications. , integrated innovation, and other aspects of cooperation.

Ren Zhengfei previously revealed in an interview that the architect company will refer to the landscape design of the Chicago lakeside building complex, with a modern and classic architectural atmosphere, and combine it with the Shanghai Shiliyangchang environment to accommodate foreign scientists to work there. Ren Zhengfei pointed out that the building itself has nothing to do with Huawei's culture, but has something to do with the architect's appreciation, bidding and winning the bid.
