OPPO has tested 240W fast charging

Digital blogger @Digital Chat Station broke the news that a large factory was trial production of a 24V 10A 240W charger in evt (engineering verification test stage). Today, the blogger confirmed that the big factory is OPPO.

The blogger said that for a battery with a dual-cell triple-charge pump design, the theoretical peak power is 300W. The current maximum power of the USB Type-C interface specification is 240W. In addition, this time Vivo has adopted a full-blooded 200W fast charge in consideration of heat dissipation. It is worth mentioning that although OPPO has tested 240W fast charging, the fast charging strategy is conservative, and the actual speed is not as good as Vivo's 200W full blood fast charging.

For the Vivo mobile phone mentioned by the blogger, it is likely that the iQOO 10 series will be released on July 19. Previously, iQOO officially announced that the iQOO 10 series will be the first to mass-produce 200W fast charging, and the fast charging has undergone 144 hours of rigorous testing in extreme environments, has 24 safety protection measures, and has passed the TÃœV Rheinland™ (TÃœV) safe fast charging certification. It was previously revealed that the iQOO 10 standard version will support 120W fast charging, and the iQOO 10 Pro will support 200W fast charging.

In May 2021, the USB-IF Association announced the new fast charging standard USB PD3.1. The new standard adds Extended Power Range (EPR), which can increase the charging power of the charger from the highest PD3.0 100W to the highest 240W.
