Xiaomi India announced that it has promoted (zhuó) Chief Operating Officer Muralishnan to the company's president, who will be responsible for daily operations, services, public affairs, and strategic projects. The appointment will take effect on August 1, 2022.


According to reports, Muralikrishnan has been working with Xiaomi for many years. He was the chief operating officer of Jabong India and the head of eBay India. He is also the senior vice president of Myntra. He will be the new president of Xiaomi India from August 1, 2022. IT House learned that he has been the COO of Xiaomi India since 2018.

Xiaomi said that Muralikrishnan will oversee Xiaomi's day-to-day operations and services in India. In addition to this, he will be involved in the company's public affairs and strategic projects.

Xiaomi said in a press release that he will continue to work to strengthen the company's commitment to the "Make in India" and "Digital India" initiatives.
