Apple's annual Apple Watch "National Park" event challenge will be held on Saturday, August 27 to celebrate national parks around the world.
Apple will require Apple Watch users to complete a mile (about 1.6 kilometers) of hiking, walking, running or wheelchair exercise to receive a special national park medal.
"Let's celebrate beautiful national parks everywhere. On August 27, earn this award by logging a mile (1.6K) or more of hiking, walking, running or wheelchair exercise using any Add Workout to Health app. "
Apple typically celebrates "national parks" in August, often with an Apple Pay donation program, Apple TV+ content, Apple Music songs, books, podcasts, and events more focused on national parks.
