Apple is expected to unveil a new generation of iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 at its September 8 conference. In an interview, Cook reiterated a statement he made a few years ago, saying he hoped Apple's biggest contribution would be in health. Regarding Apple's privacy adjustments to iOS, Cook said: "We firmly believe that privacy is a basic, fundamental human right. Our philosophy is to leave the decision to share information to users."
Cook also talked about Jobs. When asked what Jobs would think about Apple now, Cook said that Jobs might want Apple to do better. "I think he'll find what he likes in Apple now, and he'll say, 'We can do better at this'. I think he'll see the good and the bad. Like all of us, we're never really satisfied. We're always preparing for tomorrow," Cook said.
