The overall length of the RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM is about 88.4mm (at 30mm focal length) and the weight is about 390g, which is about 150g lighter than the RF14-35mm F4 L IS USM.
The optical structure of the RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM adopts a design of 11 elements in 9 groups, including a PMo aspherical lens and a UD lens, and the optics of the RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM. The structure uses 13 elements in 11 groups, including 1 PMo aspherical lens and 2 UD lenses.
Both wide-angle lenses are equipped with IS image stabilization , the RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM has a 5-level optical image stabilization effect, and the RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM has a 5.5-level optical image stabilization effect. When using the EOS R series camera with in-body image stabilization, it can achieve up to 6.5 and 7 levels of coordinated image stabilization respectively.
The RF24mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM is capable of macro shooting , the closest focusing distance is about 0.14 meters, the maximum magnification is about 0.5 times, and it has a macro function. The RF15-30mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM has a minimum focusing distance of about 0.28 meters and a maximum magnification of about 0.16 times when autofocusing, and can be shortened to 0.13 meters with a maximum magnification when using manual focus. up to 0.5 times.
