China: Godson Zhongke, a leading domestic CPU company will set up the Central Plains headquarters in Henan

Godson Zhongke, a leading domestic CPU company, announced that on August 20, the People's Government of Henan Province and Godson Zhongke signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement . China Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement, and will jointly carry out comprehensive cooperation in the fields of integrated circuits, basic software, advanced computing, and Xinchuang ecology.

In the next step, Loongson Zhongke will set up Loongson Central Plains headquarters in Henan , build a research and development innovation center, and build a Loongson industrial ecology.

Godson Zhongke first originated from the " Godson " project started by the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001. It was established in 2008 and began market-oriented operations in 2010. "Godson" is one of the earliest general-purpose processor series developed in China.

In 2020, Loongson Zhongke launched the LoongArch instruction system (LoongArch) based on 20 years of CPU development and ecological construction accumulation, including basic architecture and vector instructions, virtualization, binary translation and other extensions, with nearly 2,000 instructions.

At present, the LoongArch architecture has been supported by Linux system, GO language, and GCC compiler . In addition, the SMBIOS specification has supported the LoongArch architecture . Since then, the basic hardware information developed based on the Dragon architecture platform will be displayed in a unified manner. The Dragon architecture has become another independent CPU instruction system supported by SMBIOS after x86, ARM, and RISC-V. Architecture.

In June this year, Loongson Zhongke was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board.
