China Telecom today announced July 2022 operating data, the number of mobile users in July was 386 million, of which 5G package users were 237 million, a net increase of 5.68 million in the month; the number of wired broadband users was 176 million households; 105 million fixed-line telephone users.
In the first half of the year, China Telecom's mobile communication service revenue reached RMB 99 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%. Mobile users reached 384 million, a net increase of 11.79 million. 5G package users reached 232 million, with a penetration rate of 60.3%.
In the first half of the year, China Telecom's fixed line and smart home service revenue reached RMB 59.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%, of which broadband access revenue reached RMB 40.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%. The number of wired broadband users reached 175 million, of which gigabit broadband users reached 20.68 million, and the penetration rate increased to 11.8%.
According to the report of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as of the end of July, the total number of mobile phone users of the three basic telecommunications companies reached 1.672 billion, a net increase of 29.41 million over the end of the previous year. Among them, 5G mobile phone users reached 475 million, a net increase of 120 million compared with the end of the previous year, accounting for 28.4% of the mobile phone users, an increase of 6.8 percentage points compared with the end of the previous year.
As of the end of July, the total number of fixed Internet broadband access users of the three basic telecommunications companies reached 566 million, a net increase of 30.7 million over the end of the previous year. Among them, fixed Internet broadband access users with an access rate of 100Mbps and above reached 531 million, accounting for 93.8% of the total number of users, accounting for an increase of 0.8 percentage points compared with the end of the previous year; fixed Internet broadband access users with an access rate of 1000Mbps and above The number of households reached 65.70 million, a net increase of 31.12 million over the end of the previous year, accounting for 11.6% of the total number of users.
