SMIC: Net profit in the first half of the year was US$960 million


SMIC today released its 2022 interim results announcement: in the first half of the year, revenue was US$3.745 billion, a year-on-year increase of 53%; net profit was US$960 million, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%.

SMIC has successfully developed a variety of technology nodes from 0.35 micron to FinFET, which are mainly used in logic process technology platforms and specialty process technology platforms.

In the first half of 2022, the development of multiple platforms was carried out as planned, with steady introduction to customers, and the goal of product diversification was being achieved. During the reporting period, the first phase of the 55nm BCD platform has completed research and development, and entered small batch trial production.

SMIC is headquartered in Shanghai, China, with a global manufacturing and service base, with three 8-inch fabs and three 12-inch fabs in Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, and Shenzhen; , Beijing and Shenzhen each have a 12-inch fab under construction.
