According to the official news of TCL Huaxing, the first exposure machine equipment moving ceremony of TCL Huaxing Semiconductor's new display device production line expansion project was successfully held in Wuhan Donghu New Technology Development Zone.
The official said that the move-in of the first exposure machine equipment marked the official transition of the expansion project from the construction of the plant to the stage of equipment installation and commissioning.
According to reports, TCL CSOT’s total investment in Wuhan has exceeded 75 billion yuan . As the first 6-generation LTPS display panel production line in China, TCL CSOT’s t3 production line has the industry’s top core equipment and has the advantage of hardware basics in high-end product research and development. In 2021, TCL CSOT will invest 15 billion yuan to expand the construction of the t3 project, which is a G6 LTPS production line planned to further meet the market demand for mid-to-high-end products.
The expansion project plans to use VR technology, touch screen technology (Touch Panel + active pen technology), Mini LED backlight display technology, LTPO technology, etc., mainly to produce small and medium-sized high-value-added IT displays, vehicle displays, VR display panels and other products. It is expected to 2023 Mass production was achieved in the first half of the year.
After the project is put into operation, Wuhan CSOT will be the world's largest LTPS factory , which will form advantages in scale and agglomeration effect, which is of great strategic significance for China's new display industry to catch up with the world's advanced level.
