A trusted industry source has revealed to them that a new X-series device will launch in September. It will not be an iterative upgrade to the existing X80 series , but a brand new product, which can be temporarily called X80 Pro+, and the specific name will wait for the official announcement.
Whistleblower @Yogesh Brar revealed that vivo’s next-generation flagship will be launched later this year. According to Brar, the vivo X80 Pro+ 5G is tentatively scheduled to be launched in the global market in October 2022, which may change depending on the global supply chain situation.
On April 25 this year, the vivo X80 series was officially released. The basic version of the vivo X80 standard version is equipped with MediaTek’s 4nm flagship chip Dimensity 9000 (Pro is the dual version of Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8), equipped with V1+ self-developed image chip.
@Yogesh Brar also confirmed that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip . Based on a 4nm process, this flagship chip has a 10% improvement in CPU and GPU compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and consumes up to 30% less power.
There are also rumors that the vivo X80 Pro+ may be equipped with 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 (1/2.76 inches, 0.64 micron pixels) and 50MP ISOCELL JN2 (1/1.12 inches, 1.4 micron pixels), as well as the 50MP main camera and 48MP ultra-wide angle on the X80 Pro .
