Acer's home appliance brand is expected to double its revenue this year

Hou Zhiyuan, chairman of the home appliance brand Acer Zhixin, a computer brand factory Acer, said yesterday that home appliance products are currently sold in 12 countries and regions. Revenue is expected to triple year-on-year, overall revenue is expected to double year-on-year, and the internal target is to move towards an initial public offering (IPO) in 2024.

Hou Zhiyuan said in an interview that consumer products account for about 45% of Acer Zhixin's revenue, and the rest are commercial products. Taiwan media pointed out that Acer Zhixin started from commercial air quality solutions, and began to enter the consumer market in 2020. It held a new product launch conference yesterday. In addition to releasing air purifiers, it also expanded its product line to launch water purifiers and vacuum cleaners.

In terms of commercial products, Hou Zhiyuan emphasized that he will continue to expand the market. He originally wanted to enter other countries and regions from 2019 to 2020 but was delayed due to the impact of the new crown epidemic. Now he will bring the experience learned in Taiwan to Southeast Asia.

Talking about future product planning, Hou Zhiyuan said that large appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines are not considered for the time being, because they are too large, and if they are manufactured in China and exported to other markets, the cost may not be worth it.
