AMD technical marketing director Robert Hallock leaves ahead of Ryzen 7000 launch

AMD technical marketing director Robert Hallock announced on LinkedIn that he will leave the company. According to reports, Robert Hallock has worked at AMD for 12 years. He is the company's public-facing figure, engaging with the AMD fan community on Reddit, Discord, YouTube, and other platforms, as well as briefing the media.

In the post, he wrote, "I've had the privilege of teaching others some really great innovations publicly over the years: Zen core family, 3D V-Cache, chiplet packaging, HBM memory, FreeSync, and more. In graphics and processors, respectively. After working for about 6 years, I have learned a lot.”

AMD will launch the Ryzen 7000 series processors on September 27, so AMD needs a new public image to introduce and promote the new processors to the public. It is unclear who will succeed Robert Hallock at AMD.
