Apple 49mm version of Apple Watch Pro and Apple Watch Series 8/7 case size comparison

Apple has announced that it will hold a "Far Out" special event at 1:00 am Beijing time on September 8. This time, the online conference is still used, and it is expected to bring new products such as the iPhone 14 / Pro series, Apple Watch Series 8, and the official version of iOS 16.

Since the rumored Apple Watch Pro is expected to be larger than the Apple Watch Series 7 and upcoming Series 8 models, whistleblower Sonny Dickson has shared new images offering a size comparison of the new lineup.

The Apple Watch Pro model has a case size of 49mm larger than the previously rumored 47mm to 48mm. For comparison, the Apple Watch Series 7 is available in 41mm and 45mm case sizes, and this is expected to be reflected in the standard Series 8 model with the same design.

Combined with a flatter display, the larger 49mm case size could lead to a screen larger than 1.99 inches, perhaps even 2 inches or more, easily the largest Apple Watch display to date.

The larger display size of the Apple Watch Pro will give athletes and fitness enthusiasts more screen real estate to display more relevant stats.

Recently, 91Mobiles shared CAD images of the new Apple Watch Pro design, which it claims has a 49mm case size. The images confirm that the redesigned left side of the watch contains new physical buttons, a completely flat screen, and protrusions that house the digital crown and side buttons.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman later confirmed that the designs shown in the CAD images were real. Gurman has previously said that the Apple Watch Pro will feature a larger display, possibly "larger than most wrists."

The Apple Watch Pro model will be at the top of the Apple Watch product line, and the price is expected to be between $900 and $1,000. There are rumors that the Apple Watch Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE 2, the new iPhone 14 series, AirPods Pro 2, etc. will all be unveiled at Apple's "Far out" event tomorrow.
