Apple iPhone 14 / Plus released

At the "Far Out" conference held early this morning, Apple released the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, retaining most of the iPhone 13's design including mobile phones Notches for the selfie camera and Face ID sensor. On the front of the iPhone 14 camera is a new 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle main camera with f/1.5 aperture and sensor-based stabilization. With larger 1.9-micron pixels, Apple claims a 49 percent improvement in low-light image quality, while night mode is twice as fast. There's also a new 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera with autofocus on the front. Apple said it also applied Deep Fusion image processing early in the image pipeline to improve low-light performance and color rendering, calling the technology the "Photonic Engine." Video recording also gets a new stabilization mode called Action Mode, which uses the entire sensor for gimbal-style stabilization.

iPhone 14/14 Plus supports satellite communication and SOS emergency contact. Satellite communications are free for the first two years and will be available first in the US and Canada in November. The iPhone 14 series supports the long-rumored emergency messaging via communications satellite, called Emergency SOS. The phone's antenna can connect to satellite frequencies when the user is not within range of the phone's signal. By customizing the short text compression algorithm, the size of the message can be reduced by 3 times. In the case of seeing a clear sky, the time to send a message is less than 15 seconds.
