Bloomberg editor and insider Mark Gurman continue to share details about Apple's new products, which could premiere the day after tomorrow. Gurman has already talked about a possible debut on the same stage with the iPhone 14 AirPods Pro 2 headphones, and now he said that he is waiting for the premiere of Apple Watch Pro smartwatches at the same event.
For the device, they will ask for 900-1000 dollars - a lot, given the price level of the current line. Gurman believes that such a watch is not for everyone, but the limiting factor here will not be the price (Garmin smartwatches for $ 1000-1500 are quite popular), but the size: Watch Pro, presumably, will receive a 2-inch screen with rounded edges, which will result in a format of approximately 47 mm. Gumarn believes that not everyone will want to carry such a large device on their arm. Expectations regarding the supply of watches are appropriate: no more than a million pieces.
Apple Watch Pro, obviously, will receive advanced features, but not in terms of the hardware platform: it is expected that it will be borrowed from the Apple Watch Series 7. But a very durable case (made of a material stronger than aluminum alloy) and a shock-resistant screen are promised.
