BYD Semiconductor Releases Global Shutter CMOS Image Sensor Chip

In recent years, CMOS image sensors have become more and more important in industrial applications. BYD Semiconductor recently announced the launch of an industrial-grade global shutter CMOS image sensor chip - BF3031.

BF3031 is a 1/3-inch 500,000-pixel image sensor chip developed and produced by BYD Semiconductor using Global shutter technology. It supports parallel and MIPI digital output interfaces. The effective pixel array is 838×640, and the maximum frame rate is 120fps@full.

According to BYD Semiconductor, compared with the Rolling shutter, the Global shutter can effectively solve the jelly effect phenomena such as partial exposure, skew, and wobble when the object moves at high speed.

At present, BYD Semiconductor BF3031 has been put into the market and will continue to develop new products of Global shutter technology for other fields in the future.

BYD Semiconductor has successfully developed and mass-produced 80,000-pixel, 300,000-pixel, 2-megapixel, 5-megapixel, 8-megapixel, 13-megapixel, security, automotive, and line array CIS products in the field of CIS, used in mobile phones, tablets, notebooks, toys, automobiles, security monitoring, industrial control, and medical equipment and other fields.
