The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the operation of the electronic information manufacturing industry from January to August 2022. From January to August, the production of my country's electronic information manufacturing industry grew steadily, the scale of exports continued to expand, corporate revenue continued to increase, and investment maintained rapid growth.
Production grows steadily
From January to August, the added value of electronic information manufacturing above the designated size increased by 9.3% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 5.7 and 0.9 percentage points higher than that of industrial and high-tech manufacturing respectively. In August, the added value of electronic information manufacturing industries above the designated size increased by 5.5% year-on-year, down 1.8 percentage points from July.

Among the main products, the output of mobile phones was 990 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%, of which the output of smartphones was 757 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.2%; the output of microcomputer equipment was 278 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 6.7 %. %; the output of integrated circuits was 218.1 billion pieces, a year-on-year decrease of 10%.
Exports continue to expand
From January to August, the cumulative export delivery value of electronic information manufacturing industries above the designated size increased by 6.2% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.9 percentage points lower than that from January to July. In August, the export delivery value of electronic information manufacturing industries above the designated size increased by 1% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 2.6 percentage points lower than that in July.

According to customs statistics, from January to August, my country exported 118 million notebook computers, down 17% year-on-year; exported 538 million mobile phones, down 10.5% year-on-year; exported 186.3 billion integrated circuits, down 9.9% year-on-year.
Corporate revenue continues to increase
From January to August, the electronic information manufacturing industry above the designated size achieved an operating income of 9,524.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%, 0.3 percentage points lower than that from January to July; the operating cost was 8,298.7 billion yuan, an increase of 8.8% year-on-year; total profit was 449.9 billion yuan, down 5.6% year-on-year, 4 percentage points lower than the decline from January to July; the operating income margin was 4.7%.

Investment maintains rapid growth
From January to August, the fixed asset investment in the electronic information manufacturing industry increased by 18.7% year-on-year, 8.2 percentage points higher than the growth rate of industrial investment in the same period, but 4.3 percentage points lower than the growth rate of investment in high-tech manufacturing.
