China: The total length of national optical cable lines will reach 54.81 million kilometers

According to the website of the National Bureau of Statistics, the National Bureau of Statistics released a series of reports on economic and social development achievements yesterday (September 21).

The National Bureau of Statistics said that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, my country has accelerated the construction of a new generation of high-speed, mobile and secure information infrastructure, and built the world's largest optical fiber network and 4G and 5G networks. By the end of 2021, the total length of optical cable lines in the country will reach 54.81 million kilometers, and the number of Internet broadband access ports will be 1.02 billion, which are 3.7 times and 3.2 times that of 2012, respectively.

By the end of 2021, the proportion of optical fiber access (FTTH/0) ports in my country's Internet access ports will increase from 22.7% at the end of 2012 to 94.3%, and the proportion of 4G base stations will increase from 24.2% in 2014 to 59.2%, achieving deep coverage in urban areas. . At the same time, information and communication technology has made continuous breakthroughs in 5G, high-end optoelectronics, integrated circuit chips, and other fields, and the ability of independent innovation has been significantly improved. Since the commercial launch of 5G in 2019, the construction of the 5G network has advanced rapidly. By the end of 2021, a total of 1.425 million 5G base stations have been built and opened in China, with 5G base stations accounting for 14.3% of the total, accounting for more than 60% of the world's total, 5G mobile phone users reaching 355 million, and 5G mobile terminal connections reaching 520 million. Covering all prefecture-level urban areas, more than 98% of county-level urban areas, and 80% of townships and towns across the country.

In terms of green governance of express packaging, with the successive promulgation of documents such as "Guidelines for Green Packaging of Express Industry (Trial)", "Specifications for Green Packaging of Mail and Express", and "Opinions on Accelerating the Green Transformation of Express Packaging" and other documents, the greening, and reduction of express packaging Positive progress has been made in the transformation and recycling. Express delivery companies are actively exploring green transformation, promoting the application of electronic waybills, recycling boxes, slimming tapes under 45 mm, degradable plastic packaging bags, etc., and developing green packaging such as inkless printing cartons. The industry's green development level has been significantly improved. In 2021, the express electronic waybill and recyclable transfer bags will basically achieve full coverage, and the number of recyclable express boxes (boxes) will reach 6.3 million. outlets for recycling plants.

In terms of new business formats and new models, since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, new business formats and new models such as online freight, online car-hailing, shared bicycles and shared cars have developed rapidly. By the end of 2021, there will be 1,968 online freight platform companies in my country, integrating 3.6 million socially scattered trucks and 3.9 million drivers. Cold chain logistics and other fields of operation mode; 258 online car-hailing platform companies have obtained business licenses, covering more than 300 cities in China, with an average daily order volume of about 23 million.

By the end of 2020, more than 360 cities have launched shared bicycles, with a total investment of 19.45 million vehicles and an average daily order volume of more than 45.7 million; more than 50 time-sharing car rental companies are operating, and more than 180 cities have opened operations, sharing cars. More than 200,000 vehicles have been invested, and "Internet + transportation" has greatly improved the quantity and quality of supply in the transportation sector. At the same time, the accelerated application of new technologies such as face-scanning entry, "paperless" boarding, contactless distribution, and drone delivery has provided great convenience for the production and life of the masses. In 2021, all airports in the country will realize paperless and convenient travel for domestic flights, high-speed railways, and intercity railways will achieve full coverage of e-tickets, pilot drone "express delivery into villages" business, and unmanned vehicles will be put into express delivery operations, effectively alleviating the pressure on terminal delivery.

The data shows that by the end of 2021, the national expressway toll stations will basically achieve full coverage of the ETC system, and 487 provincial expressway toll stations in 29 interconnected provinces will be canceled. Quick tolls without parking and quick access have achieved initial results.

The report pointed out that with the accelerated popularization of 4G and 5G networks, network speed increases and fee reductions have received increasing attention, and have been included in the government work report for six consecutive years. Since 2015, my country has successively canceled domestic long-distance roaming charges and data "roaming" charges for mobile phones. The average tariff per unit bandwidth of fixed broadband and mobile network traffic has dropped by more than 95%, and the average tariff per unit bandwidth of enterprise broadband and private lines has dropped by more than 70%. The various fee reduction measures have benefited more than 1 billion users every year, and the cumulative profit has exceeded 700 billion yuan. In 2021, the average download rate of fixed broadband will be 62.55Mbit/s, an increase of 16.7 times compared with 2013; the average download rate of mobile broadband will be 59.34Mbit/s, an increase of 4.0 times compared with 2016.
