Fuji's second-generation portrait mirror emperor XF56mmF1.2 R WR released

Fuji officially released the XF56mmF1.2 R WR lens tonight, priced at 6620 yuan, and it will be listed on September 29th. The XF56mmF1.2 R WR is a large aperture fixed focal length lens with a medium and telephoto focal length of 56mm (equivalent to 85mm focal length in 35mm format).

Officially, it inherits the F1.2 large aperture at the heart of its predecessor but has significant improvements in recent focal length, image resolution performance, and beautifying rendering of soft bokeh. The focus area shows every detail in high resolution, while the wide aperture produces beautiful bokeh in the background, highlighting the subject and improving the clarity of the image. The previous model was perfect for portraits thanks to its large F1.2 aperture and mid-telephoto focal length. However, the new lens optimizes the closest focal length, making it more convenient to shoot still life on a table. In addition, it can also meet the requirements of various shooting scenes such as street shooting.

In terms of parameters, the XF56mmF1.2 R WR consists of 13 elements in 8 groups, including an ED lens and 2 aspherical lenses, which can achieve higher image resolution performance than the previous model. Up to 8 elements are used in the focusing group to minimize chromatic aberration, spherical aberration, and coma, resulting in excellent image resolution performance (from closest focusing distance to infinity). The closest focusing distance is shortened to just 50cm from the sensor surface, which is 20cm shorter than the previous model. Aspherical lenses are more precisely machined to reduce the onion ring effect in bokeh.

The shallow depth of field effect from the F1.2 aperture is further enhanced by shortening the closest focal length in close-up photography. The lens uses multiple aspherical elements, ED elements, and high-refractive-index elements to minimize various types of aberrations and provide beautiful bokeh effects. Compared to the previous model, the new model has significantly improved resolution at the closest focusing distance, so users can maximize the XF56mmF1.2 R WR's excellent image resolution and soft bokeh.
