Google Chromecast HD TV stick rendering exposure

Google will launch a cheaper version of the Chromecast TV stick Chromecast HD with Google TV, and announced a series of configurations. Today, SnoopyTech reports that the Chromecast with Google TV (HD) is available at multiple retailers for $39.99 (about 278.33 yuan), and is expected to only support 1080p output, which is $10 cheaper than the previous 4K version.

WinFuture has exposed the rendering of the device, which looks similar to the current version, only the white version, equipped with a USB-C to USB-A charging cable and charging head, and remote control that supports Google Assistant.

According to the previously reported information, the device is expected to be equipped with Amlogic's Amlogic S805X2 processor and support AV1 decoding, but the video output is limited to 1080p. Additionally, the Chromecast HD will ship with Android 12-based software, making it the first Google TV 12 streamer. The interface of the new system can be seen in the figure below.

The Chromecast HD is expected to come with  1.5GB of RAM, and with  Android 13's 2GB RAM requirement, it's possible the device won't be able to upgrade to Android 13.
