HMD Global produced phones under this brand leaves Russia

The Finnish company HMD Global, which develops and sells devices under the Nokia brand, announced its withdrawal from the Russian market. This was reported by Kommersant.

According to distributors and retailers, the company has already launched the liquidation process of HCMDA Mobile Rus LLC, through which Nokia smartphones and push-button phones were supplied to Russia.

Experts believe that after the company leaves, new items from this brand will not be imported as part of parallel imports, since the share of Nokia smartphones in 2021 was 0.6% of sales of mobile devices running Android in Russia. But push-button phones were much more in demand. Their share was 16.5%.

Earlier it was already  reported that Nokia was leaving Russia, but then it was about telecom equipment.
