Huawei Hu Houkun said that it will cultivate 500,000 ICT talents in Asia Pacific in the next five years

Hu Houkun, the rotating chairman of Huawei, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Unleashing Digital Productivity" at the 7th Huawei Connect Conference. Hu Houkun said: "The urgent need for digital transformation in various industries and the rapid iteration and innovation of ICT capabilities have driven global digitalization into the fast lane. It is time to unleash digital productivity.

In this regard, Hu Houkun shared three suggestions: develop infrastructure, firmly embrace the cloud to achieve leapfrog development, and promote the development of the local digital ecosystem.

Finally, it was announced that Huawei will work with countries/enterprises to develop the local digital ecosystem in three aspects. Since 2011, it has cooperated with universities in 12 European countries including the UK, France, and Germany to cultivate more than 4,000 ICT talents; in Asia-Pacific, Through the Huawei ASEAN Academy and the Future Seed Program, we will cultivate an additional 500,000 ICT talents in the next five years.

Huawei Cloud CEO Zhang Ping'an also gave a keynote speech at the conference. Zhang Ping'an announced that HUAWEI CLOUD will be launched in Indonesia and Ireland in the near future . By the end of 2022, HUAWEI CLOUD will deploy 29 regions and 75 availability zones around the world, covering more than 170 countries and regions . At the same time, HUAWEI CLOUD and its partners released the "Go Cloud, Go Global" ecological plan, focusing on "everything is a service".
