At Huawei's autumn conference, the AITO brand's first purely electric model, the M5 EV, was officially released. The Wenjie M5 EV is based on the Celis pure electric drive intelligent platform, equipped with the newly upgraded Huawei HarmonyOS 3 intelligent cockpit, and the cruising range of the rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions are 620 and 552 kilometers respectively.
Some digital bloggers found that the third factory of Celis has now started, named "SE Project in Liangjiang New Area", and the project entered the market on August 28. It is said that the Wenjie M5 is currently mainly produced at the Liangjiang Smart Factory, while the Wenjie M7 is mainly produced at the Phoenix Factory, and the third factory will undertake more production work in the future.
As can be seen from the project overview, the factory will include four workshops for stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly, with an estimated area of 700,000 square meters. Although the annual production capacity of the third factory is not specified in the project overview, it can be seen from other information that this factory will be completed on July 31, 2023, with an annual production capacity of 700,000 or even 1 million vehicles.
