IDC released a report saying that in the second quarter of 2022, China shipped 309,000 AR/VR headsets, including 12,000 AR and 297,000 VR units. The report pointed out that from the perspective of VR, Standalone VR shipped 273,000 units, a month-on-month increase of 19.2%; Tethered VR shipped 24,000 units, a month-on-month decline of 22.1%. Among them, Standalone products are devices with independent computing power, while Tethered products need to rely on the computing power of other devices.
IDC said that in the first half of 2022, with the large-scale deployment of offline retail by leading manufacturers and the strong force of online marketing, the overall AR/VR market shipments reached 586,000 units , including AR shipments. 28,000 units and 558,000 VR units were shipped, and the proportion of consumer market shipments continued to increase.
