India officially launch 5G services on October 1

In July this year, India launched the auction of the 5G spectrum. The auction is for 72,097.85MHz of the 20-year spectrum, including the 600 MHz, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz, 3300 MHz, and 26 GHz bands.

India's telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnaw previously said in an interview that India should be able to launch 5G networks in first-tier cities in October and expand to other regions next year.
