Kioxia releases a new generation of industrial-grade flash memory with SLC mode

Kioxia has launched a new industrial-grade flash memory device. Using the latest generation of Kioxia BiCS FLASH 3D flash memory, using 3-bit-per-cell (TLC) technology, using 132-BGA package, optional 64 GB to 512 GB.

According to reports, Kioxia's new industrial-grade flash memory supports a wide temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) and is suitable for harsh industrial environments. In addition, since the performance and reliability of flash memory cells degrades as the number of bits per cell increases, the new Kioxia Flash has a 1-bit-per-cell (SLC) mode that provides better reliability.

As one of the largest flash memory suppliers, Kioxia is committed to supporting a variety of industrial-grade solutions and adapting to long-life-cycle applications, said Brian Kumagai, director of business development at Kioxia USA. The introduction of next-generation industrial-grade BiCS FLASH 3D flash memory continues our commitment to supporting the industrial market segment.

The new Kioxia industrial-grade flash memory is expected to be mass-produced by the end of the fourth quarter of 2022.
