LG 97-inch OLED TV opens for pre-order


At the recent IFA2022 exhibition in Europe, LG officially launched a 97-inch (about 245 cm diagonal) OLED TV - LG OLED Evo Gallery Edition TV, model 97G2, which is currently The world's largest OLED TV, which is available for pre-order in the Korean market today, will be available on September 21.

LG says the 97G2 TV uses self-illuminating OLED technology to provide an immersive viewing experience in massive size. With the TV's launch, the company's 2022 OLED TV lineup now covers the full range of sizes 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, 83, 88, and 97 inches.

LG says OLED TVs use self-emissive pixels that can be turned on and off individually, "to reproduce perfect blacks, incredibly natural colors and infinite contrast. OLEDs without backlight also allow for the creation of never-before-seen form factors such as flexible and rollable TV".

The LG OLED Evo Gallery Edition TV adopts 4K (3840x2160) resolution and is equipped with a fifth-generation AI alpha 9 processor based on OLED image quality and sound quality data accumulated by LG Electronics for many years. Body, object, text, and background are classified for enhanced stereo effects, and two-channel sound sources can be converted into virtual 7.1.2-channel stereo. Like other models of LG OLED TVs, this TV supports both Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos.

This TV is wall mounted with a gallery design that fully engages the wall, enhancing the luxurious and immersive feel of the screen.

The 97-inch LG OLED Evo Gallery Edition TV is priced at 39.9 million won (about 200,300 yuan) in South Korea.
