Ming-Chi Kuo: Mass production of Apple's iPhone 14 made in India

Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst at Tianfeng International Securities, tweeted today that the mass production progress of the iPhone 14 in India this year is still about 6 weeks behind China. In early August of this year, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that Foxconn's iPhone factory in India would ship the new 6.1-inch iPhone 14 almost at the same time as its Chinese factory for the first time, which used to lag behind by a quarter or more.

But at the end of last month, Apple plans to start production of its latest flagship in India two months after the first iPhone 14s made in China hit the market, people familiar with the matter said. While India has narrowed the gap with China in iPhone production, it has not caught up completely as some expected. Constrained by factors such as secrecy, Apple and Foxconn believe that it is unrealistic to produce the iPhone 14 in India and China at the same time this year.

Guo Mingchi also said that although India still lags behind China in iPhone 14 production, the gap has narrowed significantly, so it is reasonable to expect that India will be able to produce the new iPhone 15 at the same time as China next year .
