Qualcomm and MediaTek will produce important new platforms at TSMC facilities

 It looks like TSMC will be getting orders for many major SoC platforms for 2023 smartphones. The source says that it is TSMC that will produce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 7 Gen 2, Dimensity 9100, and Dimensity 8200. That is, we are talking about potentially the most popular SoCs for top devices in 2023 and smartphones in the upper middle segment.  

For the production of these SoCs, the 4 nm process technology will be used, which proved to be excellent in Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. It is due to the fact that the updated top Qualcomm SoC performed much better than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that the company decided to abandon Samsung services and completely translate important for SoC itself on the power of TSMC.  

Among other things, this probably means that the platforms listed above will be sufficient energy efficient and not as prone to throttling as the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
