Rumor: Samsung Galaxy phones will get Android 13 update by 2023

Samsung is working hard to prepare One UI 5.0 for some Galaxy devices, and it has also launched One UI 5.0 Beta for a number of flagship models before. I believe that users who are willing to take risks have also tried to get it. Beta firmware is out.

On the other hand, users who didn’t want to join or didn’t have time to sign up for the beta program haven’t had access to Android 13 yet, so they’ll probably have to wait a little longer to experience the latest changes.

According to Sammobile, Samsung will propose stable One UI 5.0 firmware by the end of 2022 for at least 6 series of Galaxy devices this year, including the Galaxy S21 series, S22 series, Z Fold 3 and Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Flip 4, these models will receive the One UI 5.0 stable version based on Android 13.

In addition to flagship phones, Samsung will bring One UI 5.0 to users of mid-range models such as the Galaxy A53 by 2023.

The Galaxy A5x series is one of Samsung's most successful mid-range products, with the 2022 model released in March this year and the promise of four years of Android system upgrades. The Samsung Galaxy A53 is pre-installed with One UI 4.1 based on Android 12, and One UI 5.0 is expected to be its first major version upgrade.

Sammobile also mentioned that this is only an initial update plan, but plans are always subject to change. Of course, if more Galaxy phones support the One UI 5.0 upgrade this year, we will also bring you more follow-up reports.
