Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series tablet PC international version pushes Android 12L / OneUI 4.1.1

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is Samsung's first Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 device. Recently, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series in Europe and South Korea began to push the Android 12L (One UI 4.1.1) update.

In Europe, the latest software update for the Galaxy Tab S8 comes with firmware version X70xBXXU2AVH2, while the Galaxy Tab S8+ firmware version is X80xBXXU2AVH5. Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is getting firmware version X90xBXXU2AVH2 update. The update also brings the August 2022 security patch for the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra cellular and Wi-Fi-only versions.

The Android 12L update brings the same taskbar functionality as the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It stays at the bottom of the screen, allowing for faster navigation between apps and more efficient multitasking. It allows applications to open in split-screen mode or in a quick pop-up view. It can also be used to pin and open your most used apps.

A new two-finger gesture can be used to switch between full-screen and split-screen views. Using the application handle, you can open an application in a floating window or split screen. The new software allows application names to be displayed in the edge panel.

With One UI 4.1.1, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series can extract text from any image, share it with any app, or translate text into different languages. Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish are currently supported. Additionally, suggested actions are displayed based on text extracted from images.

Samsung has also implemented a feature that allows users to set a different incoming call background for each contact. Since Google Duo has been incorporated into Google Meet, users can use the app to make 1-on-1 or group video calls. With the Samsung keyboard, users can enter a wider range of emojis, stickers, and emojis.

The new version of the My Files app can search for information in files. For example, a phone number can be searched and the application will provide the information even if it is stored in an image or document. Users can also filter and sort the files visible on the search results page.

In Samsung Internet Browser, you can rearrange your favorite websites by dragging and dropping icons. Bookmarks can be sorted between folders. Even after selecting a set of wallpapers as their device's lock screen background, users can edit a set of wallpapers for their lock screen and change the selection.
