Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 watches push R8x0XXU1DVH4 firmware update

Samsung has now released a new firmware update for the Galaxy Watch 3. This update brings new watch faces that debuted on the Galaxy Watch 5 series, as well as new features for fitness tracking and snoring detection.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is pushing firmware version R8x0XXU1DVH4 (Tizen 5.5.0.2). Such updates are usually released instantly globally, and users can check manually. According to Samsung's official changelog, the smartwatch adds two new watch faces: Gradient Digital and Professional Analog. These watch faces will also be available for the Galaxy Watch Active 2 watch.

Daily activity indicator now helps to better sync data between Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Watch 3. Samsung also added snoring detection to the Galaxy Watch 3. However, it requires the phone's microphone to function properly, so users must keep it close to the phone while sleeping. By contrast, the feature works without the phone's microphone when it works on the Galaxy Watch 5.

Samsung watches have abandoned the Tizen system in favor of Wear OS 3 on the Galaxy Watch 4 (and newer). But Samsung has promised to keep releasing new features and software updates for older smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch Active 2 and Galaxy Watch 3, among others.
